Re: found some film negatives

haha @ pat
yes, the border of disney land!
@kno I got some ok results on some B&W that were taken a long time ago with kodak 800's. I am now using 400s. I nedded help finding out a better way of scanning, but after doing a lot of research just said "fuck it, ill buy a new one" so in the next couple of weeks im going to order a new scanner + (probably printer) so I can scan my film/prints. At the moment though I just have a shit ton and a half of negatives.
ps im getting * iPhone camera 6×18 zoom attachment - SlipperyBrick

Re: found some film negatives

yea I know, I was going to say fuck it to the iphone attachment, but I liked the "portability" of it all. Especially when I don't have my camera set with me. I am going to order a scanner that is able to scan film negatives, which will give me a better result. I am still having troubles with the whole shutter speed deal. I want to have a fast enough shutter speed to capture the stillness of water (can go up to 4000) but whenever it is that high, the (apeature?) blinks non stop (small number next to the shutter speed) and then when I click the camera, the lens just goes black until I click it again... god I am confused.

ps @kno get that ugly bitch off of your avi, please.

PPS @kno, that link you sent me is broken

Re: found some film negatives

well if you have a shutter speed of 1/4000 of a second then you have to understand that the aperture is going to want to be super wide open (as in in the range from 2.8 to 22, it will probably be at 5.6 or 4 and thats in bright sunlight)
1/4000 are you capturing, what now? water? like what water. 1/250 is enough to stop most everyday motion, excluding speeding cars and etc.
and you can always use a flash

and that bitch is staying i think its hilarious
and that big honkin zoom attachment completely negates the idea of "portability" that iphones embody.

and use slower film! ISO 200 is much better and its only one stop slower. much smaller grain. outstanding! you can make 11x14 prints and not have the grain be outrageously visible.

Re: found some film negatives

ehh, I have just been using 400's since I don't really plan the enviorment that I would be in. Are 200's commonly bought at like Wallmart? I remember seeing 400,800, and probably 200, but not sure. Ordered a real film scanner on monday aftertoon. (epson v200 photo perfection) It should be here within the week, and will post as much as I can.
