you have to have quicktime pro to use quick time.

yeah i forgot it had to be pro, sorry. Not sure how to do it with itunes, but i think i've done it before by importing a video file and it converted for the ipod. other than that i'm at a loss for help, never tried it on my mac (i use my ipod with my pc)

it's really easy with ffmpegx. only problem is, ffmpegx is a pain in the ass to install.
