contrast is kinda hard to deal with when taking the pic, but if you're doing these in the dark room afterwards then i think adjusting the amt of light used to project the pics would help, but you said somthing about your scanner, so im assuming you're scanning the negatives in which case you should just edit it in photoshop... but its not bad how it is now.
