Damn 3D Max...Damn it to hell
Okay I got a sexy render, sexy lights, but no godamn sexy fucking material!!! I follow tuts on how to do metal, I follow devart peeps who screen shot the material they used in their sexy METALLIC MATERIALISED RENDER. Yet mine comes out like zis....



can someone please just help me out here. How how how fucking how can I just get a sexy metallic material?

Youll have to wait for someone else to reply but may I say that render is sexy. You could allway export it to cinema 4d which has nice material editor.

hmmm I suppose but I got no idea how to use that program, I stick with max 'cos the materials are alot sexier if you know how to damn well do 'em >.<.

then I dont know why you should have problems with it, play around with settings, its almost done for you basically

I know but if you look, that doesn't seem to be a reflective metal. It's just grey like you can see in mine, I need a highly reflective material like in my current sig.

thats why I just said, play around with it, looks like you need to play around with Reflection setting.

thats the thing I've been playing around with the damn thing for months, thats why I gave up in the end. I've only just come back to graphics and I decided I might as well try this bugger of a material again.

If you care about the product rather than process you could always just import the .3ds into Bryce and apply a preset material. I think Bryce has a really smooth rendering engine; possibly better than 3ds.

I didn't know you could do that, I'll give it a go. I do care more about the product but I would still like to know how to do that kind of material in 3DS Max. Thankyou by the way .

it takes like forever to render in BRyce tho ><
