Saw this on your Facespace earlier...pretty hardcore. Its not hard to get rid of all the remaining page lines on the edited version, however, so yeah, do that I guess.

I think the journal one's pretty awesome because all of the lines on Snake are diagonal in some way and there's the contrast of all horizontal lines behind him.

i like how you touched it up in PS, looks nice.
