Re: Two New Sigs

Stop using other people's renders (note: NOT stock images, don't get confused with the terms).

It just looks too obvious sometimes. At least hide it up better.

I favor the first one however.

Re: Two New Sigs

The first is nice. Although I would increase the overall contrast.

Not like, just slide the contrast bar up, but go in and make the white spots more white, make parts of the coloring more vibrant.

It looks really good though, I like what you did with the text.

Re: Two New Sigs

the second one could be great if that text wasn't there and his blending was right. I mean, the shaded half of the dude's face has a light right next to it. come on guys.

I never said you couldn't use them, I just said that it's obvious you are, which just seems amateurish.

And no, they really are renders. Because they are taken from a rendering program. Which... renders them... so they're renders...

........

Thanks

Re: Two New Sigs

Ok i got it

But how can you know that they are renders?
I know what render is.
That stock is taken from a GFX site where it says " Stocks " so why would it be render?
Id show you the pic if id remember where i took it.
But it could be that you guys have some other thingy than in some other forums but dont think so.

But thanks for your comments.

EDIT:
Oh and could explain what render is just in case, cus i might have mistaken but i dont think so but please do explain lol

Re: Two New Sigs

This is an example of a render that I found really quick:
Second Effect C4D by ~diegodp on deviantART

Notice how it is made in C4D, a rendering program. You can tell because if you made it in Photoshop, you'd either be godly for the skill, or dumb for wasting time when you could pump out a subpar one in two minutes in an actual rendering program. So either way you can just tell it's a render.

It's all a matter of semantics. Most people use the wrong terms to describe this. If some of the old members were still here, or as disgruntled as they were a year ago, they would've been all over your ass for saying it wrong. :S

The point isn't to avoid renders altogether though. But do more work to it so you can't even tell one was even used. Look at doctor's old sigs, he was really good at that type of shit.

Stock images, on the other hand, are simply images used, like pixel art or pictures of things.

It's all just dumb wording, but that isn't the point. The point is getting better.
