as much as i would like to do this, theres to many problems, for one, its hard to determine if the image was ripped or not. you could go to any stock site and take an image from there and use it for the photo of the week. I will consitter it however, it would be very interesting.
As for wallpaper of the month, that will be soon, gotta write some rules and shirt first.

what if we got made sig of the week into Picture of the week. whether that be a modified image or a photograph, it would give everyone a better chance at entering.

the thing is ripping. i dont want to deal with this. So we'd need a way to make sure its an original image....

one with the image scanned in, and perhaps one with the image from afar with there user name in vd core and the image right by it.

I only have a digital but it takes thing fine enough, I like this idea and I reckon what sushi said is a damn good idea I was thinking on the same lines of that. submit two pics one of the photo and the other a zoomed out pic with the user name and vdcore handwritten on a peice of paper underneath. If anyone has ever been on something like facepic.com you have to have a photo of yourself with your username written somewhere, peeps usually write it on their hand.

I’m assuming that we would put limitations on the amount, if at all, photo manipulation we could use. I.e. photo recoloring, adjustments of levels and so on. People who take pictures on SLR/ film cameras have an advantage in that developing there photographs they can adjust the amount of light that goes in to it. As well as add double exposers through negatives and so on. I don’t know too much about the abilites of digital slr cameras, let alone the amount of changes you can make with them. But I think we should allow some photo manipulation in attempts to make it as fair as possible. I dont know though... I'd suggest that once admin figures it out and decided wether or not to go with it, perhaps a new thread should be made so we can all disscuss the rules to be made? maybe im thinking to much about it....

Not everyone has access to a camera that isn't disposable. And if we have this.. why not Painting of the week, Website Template of the week? you guys are kinda branching out with these contests. And besides.... nevermind.. I think photography is gay anyways

what i find to be funny about renzo's entry is the fact i dont even have constant access to any programs like photoshop unless im at school. I would like to think of vd-core as a place for art. Not just sigs
