It takes time. :[
I've been drawing all my life and I still can't get everything totally right, or at least somewhat perfect.
The best advice I can give you is to look at figures of people, and different artists and try to imitate it.
Don't trace, but look at the figure, look back and draw it.
I mean I drew DBZ characters and anime stuff until like 7th grade, and I decided I wanted to break out of it and go more comic style and it took a while to break out of, but I think I'm better for it.
So don't be afraid to kinda lose yourself for a bit if it helps you improve.
Plus you don't really have much choice early on, you're not going to be able to draw in your own style, it's hard to make something that is totally original and fresh, so just draw how you draw and eventually it'll mold itself.

Extremely anime. Huge spikey hair, weird outfit, lack of shading, line quality, etc.
And here is how I draw now.
See? Totally different.
So don't be afraid to break in and out of habits, it'll help you immensely looking at other people's artwork.
