Making of Glow - Part 2

VISIT PART 1

1) OK, first open your render and make a new layer under the render, fill it black and make a nice gradient so it looks like this

2) Next, dupe the render 5 times

3) Go to layer -> new adjustment layer -> hue/saturation and mess with the settings to find a color, heres what i got
.

4) Go back to the 6 layers of the render, ok now heres how it will be set up, rename from top to bottom these six layers
render1 - render 6, like this

.

5) I will refer to the layers by there names from now on, ok, heres what to do on each
5a) render1 - filter -> distort -> wave with these settings and set the layer to multiply with an opacity of 27% and a fill of 31%.
5b) render2 - filter -> blur -> gaussin blur it at 2.0 pixels, set layer mode to lighten.
5c) render3 - dont touch, leave it how it is
5d) render4 - filter -> blur -> radial blur with these settings then set the layer mode to screen and erase some of it, like this.
5e) render5 - filter -> blur -> radial blur with same settings as the above, then leave it alone
5f) render6 - same as step 5e

6) view all layers, should look somthing like this.

7)now start brushing on 3 different layers above the render layers, name them brushing1, brushing2, and brushing3
make brushing 1 have the most intense brushing, brushing2 should have a medium amount, and brushing3 should have the least.

8) Dupe render3 and drag it between brushing1 and brushing2, so it should look like .

9) Filter -> destort -> wave on default settings the duped render 3 layer and set it to screen, set opacity to 42%

10) Here's what you should have so far, try setting the opacity on the brushing1 layer to somthing lower then 100%, somewhere in the 60's

11) Now layer -> new adjustment layer -> hue/saturation and set this as the very first layer. Now, all you do is
set lightness to 10, then set the layer to multiply.

12) Heres where most of the effects come from, take out a brush, select black for color, set the brush to a low opacity
and flow, then brush the lighter parts, you should see it start to brighten, go over the darker parts and your brushing will start to show up
be random. Try brushing the brighter parts the most.

13) You should now have somthing like this. looks good eh? now your pretty much done, you can add some fairy dust, tech
whatever, try experimenting
