Puzzle Filled Text Style
An easy, neat, and very original text effect using only layer styles.
The first step is to create your canvas, so load up Photoshop and create a new file with a white background. Mine will be 640 pixels in width and 480 in height. Not to exciting yet, I know.
The next step is to use the type tool to write something of your choice. I used the font Myriad Pro in the font size 100. Right click on the text layer in the layer palette, and apply these styling options.
The gradient overlay has #ff8400 on the far right, and #ff4f02 on the far left.
Congratulations, you’re done.
What really makes the style great is the satin. Feel free to try out some lighting effects and drop shadows to make this your own.
